Recap Ski Trip 2023
With our newly acquired experience in organizing ski trips, we took the PWDR DAYS to the next level. 55 people from Europe recently joined us or came back to have an unforgettable experience in the Alps.
But what exactly happened in this week?
This year we had a chalet in Champéry, Switzerland, in the Ski Area Portes du Soleil, which is one of the biggest ski areas in Europe with over 600 kilometers of slopes. The chalet had enough space to accommodate all of us in small rooms; we had multiple rooms to relax, play games, or just talk to each other. And we shouldn’t forget to mention that we had a sauna this time, which was heavily in use. This mentioned, the house was super active. In every corner, something was going on. We had numerous rounds of werewolf again, but also other board games were played. As already mentioned, we had a sauna that was active basically the whole evening and night, and our bar area was also always full of people standing there and talking. But this wasn’t everything. Every day we had a kitchen rave, which made cooking for the entire group much more fun, and everyone loved to party there while preparing the food.
Besides this, we had groups that didn’t go skiing the entire day but went on hikes instead and showered under waterfalls there. People went stargazing in the middle of the night and had beautiful conversations while watching the stars, and one of us went paragliding. He had a lot of fun and saw the ski area from a perspective we all dreamed of. On the slopes, there was also a lot of action. Since the gondola was close to the house, there were large groups already leaving early in the morning to catch the first gondola and ride on the freshly prepared slopes. The “Rock the Pistes” festival was also going. We could listen to concerts on the slopes, with numerous well-known artists, and our adrenaline junkies didn’t came to short with the Swiss Wall, which is the steepest slope in Europe. Our beginners also had a lot of fun learning how to ski and snowboard in small groups. That said, they were able to ride with the other people at the end of the week, and our undie and costume run was also a big success. When was the last time you saw 30+ people on the slopes in underwear and, after in banana costumes, hunting a man in a wedding dress? People loved to watch us, and it was also entertaining for us.
This was our story, but let’s see what people told us after the trip.
