32 Friends in the Valais Alps
We did it again! Another 7 days in the Alps: skiing, making friends, playing games, and creating incredible memories. Our 2025 ski trip brought 32 of us together in the beautiful village of Grimentz. Located at 1,553 meters above sea level in the Swiss canton of Valais, Grimentz is a traditional village full of history, historic wooden chalets, and traditional barns—nestled right in the middle of some of the most stunning mountains in the world.
A Closer Crew & Quick Problem-Solving
Meeting both old and new faces at our alpine home for the week, this edition was slightly smaller than previous years. The smaller group size allowed us to connect even more deeply, both at the chalet and out on the slopes.
We admittedly got off to a bit of a rough start: a small banking issue almost kept us from getting our ski passes, and our dinner prep was suddenly halted by broken can openers. Luckily, both dilemmas were sorted out in no time—everybody got to ski, and nobody starved!
On the Slopes: Powder, Parks & The Flag Run
115km of Pistes & Untracked Powder
The interconnected areas of Grimentz and Zinal delivered 115 kilometers of perfectly groomed pistes suited for every skill level, paired with fantastic off-piste bowls for those magical powder days.
Ski-Cross Racing & Park Tricks
Once the shenanigans kicked off, there was simply no stopping us! From carving through deep fresh snow to learning tricks in the snowpark and racing each other down the ski-cross course, the mountain was pure energy. There were naturally a few big crashes along the way, but that was all part of the fun! We rounded it off with our traditional flag run, sending a wave of color straight down the pistes.
Chalet Life: Chapel Walks, Karaoke & Fierce Showdowns
Midnight Mass & Karaoke Anthems
The evenings off the slopes were completely jam-packed:
- Midnight Chapel Walks: We took quiet late-night strolls through the village to the local chapel to attend midnight mass.
- Karaoke Takeover: We tracked down the local karaoke bar and spent the night singing at the top of our lungs.
Board Game Showdowns
Back at the chalet, we clocked countless hours around the tables. True competitive spirit came alive during high-stakes sessions of UNO, Wizard, and Two Rooms and a Boom. If you know, you know!

Giving Back: Environmental Donation

In 2025, surplus funds from our trip budget were directed toward regional mountain nature conservation.
We donated 675 € to Bergwaldprojekt to support forest preservation, reforestation, and ecological sustainability in the Alps.
